ACTSA stamp camp 2016 part 2

Our 2nd class on Saturday was different techniques with Tim Holtz Distress crayons. We used tags for this, some of which had white gesso on them, and we tried different techniques on them
We used water, smooshed with our fingers, used a stencil etc. We also assemble a matchbook to put them in.

On the weekend of July 16 and 17 my local stamp club had our annual stamp camp, we were very lucky and this year had Teresa Abajo as our demonstrator... She is a very talented artist and fun person. We had 5 classes over the weekend and were supplied with kits for each class which were generously packed. over the next few posts I am going to share with you the things I made.
 The first class on Saturday was Mixed medias Technique ATC's, although I don't do ATC's, I enjoyed the class as it gave me lots of ideas. we used all sorts of things from card cut from a box to impasto  paste, acrylic paint distress ink, white gesso embossed pieces of card, tissue paper, torn pages from a book, stamps, rock salt, etc... I even had my first play with a gelly plate... now I just have to buy one.. :) here are my samples...

Tim Holtz inspired decorated box

I wanted to make a box to put some handmade Greeting cards in, so I used my Crafter's Companion Ultimate pro... boy does that make, making boxes easy....I decided to decorate the top before I glued it together...

Playing with Magenta Nuance

I have been playing with my Magenta Nuance and stencils...
after getting my backgrounds the colour I wanted with my Nuance and allowing them to dry
  I used stencils, Transparent texture paste and glitter on the following backgrounds, it's hard to see the rainbow glitter on the first 2 pics.. it looks way better in real life

On the next 2 I used stencils and Faber castell glass bead glitter gel...

On the next one before I added the Nuance I got a stencil and used a white crayon to form a resist... than added the Nuance and water.. I thought it wasn't bad for a first attempt..
