Melted crayon technique part 1

This is a technique I have shared before and I will link to the instructions in a post from June 24 2014 for my melted crayon technique . Kaeren Sutherland and I are doing a make and take demo at our next ACTSA ( ACT stamp artists) meeting so I have made some samples...

    Just followed your link from facebook - I like the look of these techniques - but I don't have a craft type iron - Only my good one - and I wouldn't use it for this - Please is there another way to melt the crayons instead of putting direct onto iron?

      Second hand stores have them for couple bucks here, or a wood burning tool, or an old glue gun, i've seen video where ppl stick a crayon in like a gluestick,again not your good glue gun tho :)

    not that I am aware of... maybe you could get a cheap iron from the $2 shop

    Hobbysew used to have them for around $22 - not sure f they are still in stoc.
