playing with oxides and distress inks

I wanted to see what the difference between oxide ink and distress ink when water stamping so Inked up 2 pieces of card one with oxide and one with distress

Then I stamped both with water.. these are the results

I found that oxides the oxides gave slightly better results with little effort where as you had to give a little pressure on the distress ink otherwise it didn't work very well.. note the top of the one on the right. also you didn't notice the results on the distress until dried but on the oxides it was instantaneous.
